  Teacher Man: A Memoir
In Teacher Man Frank turns his attention to the subject that he most often talks about in his lectures-teaching: why it's
so important, why it's so undervalued. He describes his own coming of age-as a teacher, a storyteller, and, ultimately, a
writer. He is alternately humble and mischievous, downtrodden and rebellious. He instinctively identifies with the underdog;
his sympathies lie more with students than administrators. It takes him almost fifteen years to find his voice in the classroom,
but what's clear in the thrilling pages of Teacher Man is that from the beginning he seizes and holds his students' attention
by telling them memorable stories. And then it takes him another fifteen years to find his voice on the page.

Nancy Drew Starter Set: The Secret of the Old Clock/The Hidden Staircase/The
Bungalow Mystery/The Mystery at Lilac Inn/The Secret of Shadow Ranch/The Secret of the Red Gate Farm
Old Classics
This is an excellent starter set of Nancy Drew mysteries, so if you are interested in reading mysteries about a young
lady who always seems to get involved in life around her, read these. The Nancy Drew stories were written a long time ago,
(1930s), so a lot of the dialog and settings are dated, and may seem awkward to you. Nancy is a wholesome character and her
mysteries usually have harmless explanations. She always stands up for good, and is frequently faced with helping the innocent
find justice.
  Little House on the Prairie
Written in 1935 and now re-issued, this second of the nine critically-acclaimed and immensely popular "Little House"
novels is probably the one best known and loved. It deserves its reputation as a classic of children's literature. Wilder
tells how she, Laura, and her family (Pa, Ma, sister Mary and baby Carrie) journeyed in a covered wagon from Wisconsin to
the immense rolling prairie of Kansas.

  Giving Tree
A classic book for all ages;for mothers and fathers! A moving parable about the gift of giving and the capacity to love, told
throughout the life of a boy who grows to manhood and a tree that selflessly gives him her bounty through the years.
  To Kill a Mockingbird
It's one of the finest books ever written. The quiet heroism of Atticus Finch and the honesty of his children Jem and Scout
as they face prejudice in the American South of the 1930s still ring true. If it's been a while since you read it, read it
again.
